The 1950s were also a time when Americans were visiting National Parks in large numbers. So having these star visiting parks was good bit of pr for the NPS. There's even footage from Yosemite before the attempt on the 8000 ft pass. And Dinosaur was in the news because of the dam proposals. So the Dinosaur visit was probably well known at the time although it seems more obscure today. I guess stealing a dinosaur bone would have been a bit much --- a rock would seem less valuable and maybe more "acceptable".Dan Churenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4553575732452357667.post-15709212921860513892011-03-26T18:09:59.287-07:002011-03-26T18:09:59.287-07:00Well, kudos to Susan Allabach!Well, kudos to Susan Allabach!Barb Outside Bostonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02518936356413767515noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4553575732452357667.post-76598124122846842132011-03-25T16:55:08.498-07:002011-03-25T16:55:08.498-07:00Barb,

The History of a Building Type." I ran across it there and tracked down a copy of the movie.

DanDan Churenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4553575732452357667.post-78233438690817429322011-03-25T14:11:14.614-07:002011-03-25T14:11:14.614-07:00How in the world did you ever notice that? How in the world did you ever notice that?Barb Outside Bostonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02518936356413767515noreply@blogger.com
